(Mississauga, ON) May 3, 2016 – Kia Canada Inc. reported 7,707 vehicles sold in the month of April, up 7.6 per cent versus one year previous. Calendar year-to-date retail sales are up 3.1 per cent versus the same period last year with 17,980 total sales reported.
The month of April witnessed a record month for the Forte compact family, with sales of the vehicle-line amounting to 1,512 units, up 29.3 per cent versus the same period in 2015. The award-winning Soul continues to perform very well in the Canadian market with sales up 15.2 per cent. The urban hatchback achieved 1,309 units sold in April to mark the carline’s best April performance in history. Sportage compact CUV sales were up 94.7 per cent versus 2015, achieving 1,094 units sold for the month of April, marking the vehicle’s best sales performance since its launch in 1999.
